Q1) What factors are driving this technology?

Over the past years, there has been a big increase in security awareness. Many companies decided to implement a Data Loss Prevention solution either proactively or because they had a security incident recently. Companies need to use a Data Loss Prevention solution as part of their compliance as well. (BFSI, Pharma, Healthcare, IT, etc.)

Q2) What exactly are the DLP issues in India? What effect did covid-19 and WFH have on the landscape?

With many companies being forced to adopt work-from-home policies quickly, there are a number of challenges related to data protection and compliance with regulations. In India, the increasing number and frequency of recent data breaches have proven that organizations across all sectors are vulnerable to cyberattacks.

The reported breaches in the recent past are causing concern to both governments and businesses. India needs to strengthen not only the legal framework to handle cybersecurity cases but it has to improve the protection of critical infrastructure and build offensive capabilities, as well as educate citizens about the safe use of digital assets.

Q3) Describe the company’s growth objectives and target lines of business.

CoSoSys was founded in 2004. We now proudly protect over 11 million users worldwide. This continuous growth is due to closely listening to our users’ feedback and our dedication to innovation. As data security threats continue to evolve, so do we and our solutions. ur success is also attributable to our focus on the human component.

We strive to make powerful and effective products that can be deployed in hours, simple enough for any IT Administrator to use, all from one centralized web interface. We also think about the end users’ experience, ensuring that our solutions work smoothly and do not disrupt their day-to-day tasks or compromise productivity. CoSoSys’ mission is to enable businesses and end users around the world to take full advantage of the performance benefits of mobility, portability, and communications solutions, without compromising security. To achieve this, we develop solutions that prevent data loss on the ever-increasing number of devices and endpoints.

Q4) Are there any upcoming announcements regarding new DLP solutions tailored to Indian markets that are critical for Indian enterprises?

A large part of Indian organizations uses a mixed environment of Windows, macOS, and Linux. We have been working with many of them on filling the security gaps. Many companies are protecting their Windows computers, but the macOS and Linux are left unprotected. This is where we fill the security gap and provide one centralized cross-platform DLP to ensure that all the endpoints are safe and that the sensitive data will not leave the company’s data regardless of the endpoint OS.

Q5) Describe the post-covid requirements of Indian organizations confronted with complex data security challenges.

During covid, a lot of companies had to face the harsh reality that most of their security relied on the company network and premises. When employees started WFH, there were big security gaps that needed to be filled fast. Most companies managed to adapt, and now this became the norm; most employees are WFH or hybrid, so now companies that managed to fill the gaps during the pandemic are now just fine-tuning their security and implementing this as the norm moving forward.
