Exclusive Interview with Ms Supreet Raju, Co-founder, OneRare

OneRare is the brainchild of the husband-wife duo of Supreet Raju & Gaurav Gupta, who believe food has a language of its own & makes the world a happier place with every bite. This love for food has given birth to the idea behind this Foodverse and created a tokenization layer for food on the Blockchain in an immersive and gamified experience. OneRare is an original, first-of-its-kind NFT Economy game that runs on cooperation and trade between play-to-earn gamers and NFT collectors.

OneRare has collaborated with top celebrity Chefs; Arnold Poernomo from Indonesia, Indian Chef Saransh Goila, Vicky Ratnani & Dutch Chef Jaimie Van Heije, and Mr. Zorawar Kalra, Owner of Massive Restaurants to redefine the landscape of the blockchain industry in India. With this collaboration, OneRare’s revolutionary concept of the world’s first Food Metaverse on the blockchain has caught the eye of foodies around the world. OneRare will be tokenizing the Chefs’ signature dishes as NFTs, and players will be able to claim these special artworks by collecting ingredients and playing the game.

In an exclusive talk, Ms. Supreet Raju gave us more glimpse of OneRare and how blockchain is helping the brand… Supreet is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of OneRare. She is responsible for the complete immersive world of Food-NFTs. She further added to her portfolio by specializing in creating interactive spaces and increasing engagement through her designs. This led to her becoming an ace in the industry and inspired her to teach design.

She has a rich experience as a visiting faculty of close to 7 years and also possessed relevant skills as a design educator.

She has embraced design completely and transformed her personality to make it easier to adapt to any industry through her design. This ethos led her to the blockchain industry, where she has focused on creating simple ideas that aid blockchain enthusiasts become avid users.

How OneRare aims to establish the next wave of Blockchain Metaverse in India?

We understand that blockchain can be a daunting technology for first-time users. We want to leverage Food as an example to teach the world the basics of blockchain. Jargons like staking, smart contracts, and NFTs could be easily simplified if compared with day-to-day activities and systems. Earning rewards from staking, for example, is exactly like a Fixed Deposit giving you returns on your locked amount. In the foodverse, we have used the same technology to enable players to win Ingredient NFTs by staking our native $ORARE tokens and then using these earned Ingredient NFTs to mint Dish NFTs. These Dish NFTs cannot be broken down to give you back your Ingredient NFTs, replicating the real-life example of not being able to get back Ingredients after cooking a Dish. There are multiple such examples of how blockchain and smart contracts have helped us create a replica of real-world situations with fun & seam-less virtual experience. We are using easy-to-understand mechanics to engage the audience with blockchain. Our Foodverse will be the first step for many users into the web3 universe.
