Samsung may unveil a new Galaxy Ring into the market by Q3 of 2024 along with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Flop 6.
Rumors are floating about the release of the new Galaxy Ring after an event held by the company for the launch of foldable devices. This might officially enter the market by January 2024 alongside the launch of the S24 series. The Galaxy Ring is currently in a rapid stage of development. As of now, the ring already instills multiple features within it but doesn’t have a finalized design and is considered too big for commercialization.
A report by the popular South Korean publication – theelec.net hinted that the company might go with circuit boards from Japan’s Meiko. This ring will impersonate all features of a fitness tracker from monitoring heart rate to tracking sleep hours and steps to recording workouts without display.
Samsung has collaborated with multiple companies from Korea for the development of the Galaxy Ring including Doosung Tech and Korea Seongjeon. It is working towards adjusting the size of the ring while installing the maximum number of features. The Ring will not have just one ring size since the Korean conglomerate but will be made available in four different sizes for customer convenience.
The ring is expected to be launched by Samsung in Q3 2024 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. But this launch will be successful if the brand doesn’t undergo the application of the medical device certificate for the Galaxy ring which will take more than a month for approval and will delay the launch to Q1 of 2025.
Samsung has also shared in a recent publication regarding future plans for the Galaxy Ring endeavor. The company plans to work on a Galaxy Ring that supports extended reality (XR) and mixed reality (MR) devices.
The Galaxy Ring is a revolutionary device brought on board by Samsung. This innovative venture clearly involves a high risk of market adaptation. The success of the product solely depends on Samsung’s marketing strategy which will decide whether or not the next generation is ready for this level of advancement in their lives.
