With smartphones spreading its arms and legs in every part of our lives, we don’t need that big clunky alarm clock to wake us up every morning. Instead of that cranky bell, we can choose our own sweet music that will wake us up every morning. That’s not new and you can even set your favourite music or song as an alarm tone even on feature phones. But on the latest Android phones, the feature is not just limited to that. It is one step ahead of that. It is even possible to set your favourite online music as your alarm tone to wake you up every morning.
What you just need is a Spotify on YouTube Music account, and you can choose your favourite song, music, or anything else as you are alarm tone. This is very easy to set up if you have Clock by Google installed on your handset. I know that is going to be very cool. But spoiler alert, don’t set your favourite song as an alarm tone to wake you up every morning, as that song will make its way out of your daily commute playlist very quickly. Better choose a song or music that will wake you up slowly and steadily, instead of giving us a sudden shock at the day’s start.
So let’s get started with how you can choose your favourite online music as your alarm tone on Clock by Google.
Set Youtube Music or Spotify Songs as Alarm tone
Step 1: Download and install Clock by Google, and once it is installed, open it. You will automatically be landed in the alarm section.
Step 2: Create a new alarm by tapping on the ‘+‘ button, or modify an existing alarm by tapping on it. Set the alarm timing, the days you want the wake up early with the alarm, and small other details, before tapping on the alarm tone.
Step 3: Now choose the online music source between YouTube Music and Spotify.
Step 4: On choosing both YouTube Music or Spotify, a list of your favourite playlists, favourite artists and other music tracks will be displayed to you.
Alternatively, you can even search for your favourite music to set as your alarm tone on both Spotify and YouTube Music.
Step 5: Finally, just for the music that you want to set as the alarm tone, and you are ready to go. I have chosen the ‘Mixtape’ on YouTube Music.
Depending upon whether the chosen music is available offline depending upon your subscription, your mobile must have an internet connection so that the music can be played at the time set by you in the alarm.
Hope waking up will be a lot more relaxing where you can listen to your favourite music to start the day with. Did you face any problem? Feel free to comment the same below.
Nice post. Most people would like to use a song they like as an alarm tone. So do I. I convert Spotify songs with Tunelf Spotibeat Music Converter in the past. Now I want to try your method.
Great post. Like most people, I also like to set music as an alarm tone. As I use Spotify, I use the DRmare Music Converter to get Spotify songs as local files for setting as an alarm.
