Smartphones are available at the small budget of almost $60, and you can also get a smartphone which has a price tag of almost $1500. But what the difference! The difference lies in the device’s overall performance, battery life, the image sensor, and numerous other things. One of them is the RAM, which is the abbreviation of random access memory, and smartphones with a higher RAM are quite popular among people nowadays.

There is no doubt, having a higher RAM will help you get a better experience of multitasking, but RAM is not everything. Let me explain why. Apart from the normal features, you can also get 4G VoLTE, which is though present, in almost all the smartphones available nowadays. But the only con is it comes with an Helio P15 processor, clocked at 2.2 GHz.

You should only go for the smartphone, if you’re looking for a very good camera and display at a decent price range of Rs. 15,000. It also offers fast charging, and the stock Android experience, which is my personal favorite.

Why not great

If you are a power user of your smartphone, you should keep away from purchasing this phone, as the performance is clipped down due to the Mediatek Helio processor. If you want to use 2 SIM cards and an SD card, sorry, this device comes with a hybrid SIM slot.

Let’s not switch our attention from Motorola, as the Motorola Moto G5S Plus is a handset, which deserves mention, as it comes with different specifications and a 4 GB RAM. The handset comes with a hooping 1920×1080 screen resolution with 401 PPI, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.  The handset comes with 64 GB of storage, which is quite common from the smartphones at the price range of almost Rs. 16,000.

If you ask me to find anything bad in this product, I was disappointed with the micro USB port, when USB Type C is going to be the new standard and is even adapted by numerous manufacturers.

Samsung is one of the leaders in the world of flagship smartphones flagship, and the Samsung Galaxy A5 is one of the budget smartphones by the smartphone giant. As far as the price of the device is concerned, I will not complement it with the term, value for money product, but, you can get the great and reliable service provided by Samsung. As far as the display is concerned, it has 1920×1080 pixels, with a Super AMOLED screen, which is the bottom line for this device.

It also has a 13 MP primary camera, yes, 13 MP, but don’t worry, Samsung camera will not disappoint you, and a 16 MP secondary camera to take high-quality selfies. It comes with an Exynos 7880 processor, capable of working with 1.9 GHz. You will get almost all the other features, but you need to pay extra for this product, as it is priced at around Rs. 25,000.

Why go for it

If you need good multitasking from your smartphone, with a very good service, I will recommend this product, and it is also good for everyday usage, for its 3300 mAh battery.

Why not great

The device lacks USB OTG, which is highly expected from a device at this price range. Pretty disappointing, when other low priced Samsung devices come with the same feature.

 

Xiaomi Mi A1

Xiaomi Mi A1 has been in the news for quite a long time, and people are crazy for the icon which says “Shot on Mi A1”. But, should you go for it! Is it your cup of tea? Let’s find out. The Mi A1 is great for capturing photographs, with the dual 12 MP primary and secondary camera. Though the camera does not perform well under low light, hopefully, it will be fixed in the upcoming updates. As far as the performance is concerned, it handles multitasking quite well, thanks to the Snapdragon 625 SoC.

Xiaomi Mi A1 is my personal favorite, not only because of the camera but also because of its stock user interface, which is special in the handset. The display is quite great and it has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, just like other smartphones at the same price range of about Rs. 14,000. With the 3080 mAh battery, you can easily keep using the phone for a day, without any issues. The design is also quite premium, giving the handset a look like the flagships, available today.

Why go for it

I will highly recommend this product, if you want a bloatware free experience, packed with a great camera, and highly popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, for optimal performance.

Why not great

The only problem I face with most Xiaomi devices is that it lacks NFC, which is same for the Mi A1. If you don’t have any problems with that, go for it.

 

Lenovo K8 Note

Lenovo has manufactured a number of quality handsets, each offering something new. If you are fond of multitasking and is a music enthusiast, you should don’t think again before purchasing Lenovo K8 Note. It comes with Dolby Atmos audio enhancement, which will give a great experience of listening to music. Why not great

If you do hardcore multitasking and play a lot of games, I will not recommend this product, as the Mediatek Helio X23 may be a good processor, I will not comment on, how well it will handle the games that will be available after some days.

In the list, I only included the midrange smartphones available in India. Though all the smartphones come with 4 GB RAM, you should choose your product by knowing your priorities and checking the specifications. Not all the smartphones will perform equally under all circumstances. You should keep in mind, and then spend the hard earned money for your favorite device, out of the list.
