How to Change WIFI or Ethernet MAC address on Windows 11 or 10?

Changing your MAC (Media Access Control) address, regardless of which operating system you are using, can be beneficial in various scenarios. Each system’s MAC address is unique and assigned by network adapters; it helps the system communicate on the physical network and gives it identification. Step 1: Downloads Technitium MAC Address Changer tool

We don’t want to show you some complicated methods to change the MAC address, especially on Windows. Therefore, we will use a third-party software called Technitium. It is one of the easiest ways to replace the current MAC address with another in just one click. The user-friendly interface of this software can generate random MAC addresses or input a specific address. It supports various network adapters, including WiFi, and can work on Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7/Vista/XP/Server 2012 R2/Server 2012/Server 2008 R2/Server 2008/Server 2003/Server 2000.

Step 2: Run Technitium

After installing Technitium on your Windows 11 or any other version of this OS, go to the Start menu and search for – TMAC. As its icon appears, run the software Technitium MAC address changer with Admin rights so that it can change the Physical address.

Step 4: Select the Network Adapter

The Technitium application lists all network adapters available on Windows 11, including Wireless ones. Select the network adapter whose MAC address you want to change. For example, we want to issue a random physical address for our WIFI adapter, so we select that.

Step 3: Change the Windows 11 MAC address

After selecting the Network Adapter, click the “Random MAC Adress” button. This will automatically generate a new physical address for your selected Adapter. Finally, press the “Change Now!” button to change the address.

Step 5: Apply the New MAC address

In a few seconds, the MAC address changer software will update you on whether the address has been changed successfully or not.

Step 6: Verify the Physical Address Change

To verify the MAC address has been changed, open the command prompt and execute the given command. It will display the IP Address and the MAC or physical address of all Network adapters on the system. You should check the physical address of the Adapter you have changed to confirm.

Restore Orginal Mac Address

Well, in case, for any reason, you want to restore the original MAC address for the adapter, you have generated the Random address:

Again, open the Technitium application
Select the Network Adapter for that you want to restore the MAC address
Click on the “Restore Orginal” button given at the bottom of the Application
