When it comes to computer memory or RAM, speed matters a lot. When building a PC, you can select the RAM based on compatibility with other components to extract the last bit of power from the setup. But if it has been a long time since you built your PC and want to upgrade it with a new graphics card or a newer CPU if supported, you must know the RAM type to identify the right components and prevent any possible bottlenecks.
If the boxes of the PC components or the invoice are in your hand, you can quickly check the type of RAM you have and the RAM speeds, but you are not here just because of this advice. You can check the type of RAM you have in your PC in many ways, and I will discuss a few of them here.
